The North Point Mixed-Use District is a 98.58-acre redevelopment of the existing North Point Mall site that will be rezoned from PSC/MU to MU zoning to accommodate a major mixed-use project with 1,385 residential units, 850 hotel rooms, office space, entertainment venues, and retail. The development is projected to be completed by 2036 and will require multiple traffic signal improvements and intersection modifications at 13 study intersections to maintain acceptable levels of service. While no programmed roadway improvements currently exist, the traffic analysis identifies system improvements needed for background traffic growth and additional intersection/site access improvements specifically attributable to the development.
